SubZero Preview Screening 8 – 9 April

SubZero Film Fest, the newly established platform dedicated to raise international awareness of new trends in Scandinavian film, held its premier event, A Cooler Perspective: Exploring New Directions of Norwegian Cinema, in New York, April 8th and 9th at Scandinavia House on Park Avenue.  An enthusiastic mix of New York audiences attended the screenings of Procter by Joachim Trier, Coconuts and A Sunday in Schweigaardsgate  from Charlotte Blom, as well as a selection of remarkable shorts from Lasse Gjertsen, the first night. Jens Lien’s stunning short, Everyday is a Fish Day, and his acclaimed feature film, The Bothersome Man, were shown on the second night of the program, to an equally thrilled crowd.
